The oilpatch has depended on Hyduke Well Service Solutions and B.W. Rig for more than 30 years. The company has an established reputation for dependable service and being a reliable distributor of operating supplies for service rig and drilling rig operations - all the rope, soap and dope.

Now operating under the Hyduke umbrella, Hyduke Well Service Solutions ("HWSS") manufactures service rigs as well as repairs/rebuilds to operators' specifications, customer-owned service rigs and their mounted components, including derricks. HWSS also manufactures accumulators, catwalks, dog houses, mud tanks, pump trucks, spoolers, rig matting, air control panels, safety pins, pipe racks, as well as B.W. Rig crown savers.

The shop has the facilities and staff capable of repairing mud pumps, drawworks, derricks, carriers, travelling blocks, swivels, power tongs, elevators, etc. HWSS is also an Alberta government approved Motor Vehicle Inspection facility, and inspects and certifies overhead drilling equipment.

B.W. Rig's supply division carries a complete stock of service and drilling rig supplies with over 18,000 items in stock - pipe dope, rags, fittings, valves, hoses, Chicksan swivels, derrick pins, derrick tapes, tools, oil and fuel filters, rig wash, sandline flags, Shaffer come-alongs, pipe wipers, swab cups, other related rubber products - anything and everything that's needed. The company can also supply the necessary fluid end parts for all major mud pumps.

B.W. and HWSS is currently experiencing a strong demand for new products - manufacturing service rigs. With new technologies constantly emerging, horizontal drilling has taken off in leaps and bounds. That's also creating a demand for slant service rigs to be able to go in and maintain those horizontal wells, but the majority of demand is still for the conventional service rig. HWSS is also seeing top drives being mounted on the higher-end service rigs so they can be rigged up to do drilling on their own. All sorts of exciting things are happening.
