The affable CEO of Nisku-based Hyduke Energy has been more than a little preoccupied since June. That’s when Saskatchewan’s Do All Industries launched a surprise $34 million takeover bid for Hyduke, a small but fast-growing manufacturer of drilling rigs and other oilfield equipment.

Hyduke Energy Services Inc. has long been a staple in the oil and gas industry.  What started out as a small welding and oil rig company in 1977 has quickly expanded into a much larger corporation.  Now nearly two decades later Hyduke is one of the largest oilfield service companies in North America.
